The Winton project reimagines a modest single-story residence into an expansive, light-filled modern home tailored for multi-generational living. Originally a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home spanning 1,575 sq ft, the property underwent a meticulous transformation with a reconfigured first floor and the addition of a second story, expanding the living area to 2,757 sq ft. The reimagined layout now offers five bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a dedicated office, balancing functionality with refined comfort.
Respecting the architectural integrity of the original flat-roof structure, the renovation introduced clean, contemporary lines with layered flat roofs of varying heights. Vaulted floor-to-ceiling windows, semi-transparent glass garage doors, and crisp exterior detailing establish a modern profile while preserving the character of the neighborhood. This layered design approach not only enhances curb appeal but also cultivates a sense of depth and lightness throughout the home.
Inside, an open layout connects living, dining, and outdoor areas seamlessly, maximizing spatial flexibility while maintaining clear functional zones. Abundant natural light pours in through floor-to-ceiling windows strategically placed along the front entry, living room, and family room, creating a warm, airy ambiance that blurs the line between indoors and out.
The floor plan includes two master suites on the first floor, each with its own en-suite bath, providing comfort and privacy for multi-generational living—ideal for extended family or visiting guests. Custom-designed cabinetry throughout the home, from the study to the kitchen and laundry, was crafted to enhance both usability and aesthetics, reflecting the project’s commitment to refined functionality.
In the landscape design, the original swimming pool was preserved and re-envisioned with a leisure deck, lawn, and outdoor dining area, enhancing the home's outdoor lifestyle. A thoughtfully placed planter at the entrance introduces a layered and private sense of arrival, completing the Winton project as a sanctuary of calm, comfort, and modern elegance.
